engine lope

i have a 350 bored 30 over. it has a mild cam. i want it to lope like it has a bigger cam. can i retard the timing or should i just get a bigger cam?:069:

iirc...timing won't effect the lope at all. I believe you need a cam with a higher duration. doesn't have to be necessarily bigger. adjusting the idle down can also give it the sound of a lopey cam as well.

put a bigger cam in it then you will get a good sound i also like the gear drive sound if its a car you dont drive it much but if you drive it daily it tends to get irritating lol..
