Well this is the time of year that everyone says they are going.. so lets figure we have about 6 months warning and im sure about 75% of people wanting to come will have no money by then.. starting saving about 30 bucks a month and you will have plenty by showtime..

Its a cheap trip compared to others, you can go to carlisle for under 160 bucks.. less depending on how many are in a room.. the expensive trips are chicago and toronto and those ones where you will spend at least 400...

dB DRAG & BASS RACE AUDIO COMPETITIONS • See Map
dB Drags are back this year! Along with the dB Drag we’ll again have Bass Race competitions as well. This combination of action, head-to-head audio competitions should prove to be exciting for participants and on lookers. Check the map or listen for the “good vibrations” and make your way over to check it out.

ICE HOUSE • Building Z (Under the Grandstands)
The StreetGlow Ice House is the “coolest” display of In Car Entertainment around. See some of the top built cars in the country all under one roof. With the lights low and a chill in the air, this will be one display you don’t want to miss. New this year in the ICE House you’ll find our Video Game Tournament!

STREETGLOW NEON CONTEST • Manufacturer Midway
Show off your lights, TV screens and neon for the Street Glow neon contest. Sign up at the Street Glow booth inside the ICE House. Saturday evening vehicles will line up on the Manufactures Midway between 8:00-8:15PM.; judging begins at 8:30PM.

VIDEO GAME TOURNAMENT • ICE House (Under the Grandstands)
Show off your gaming skills in our first ever Video Game Tournament. Inside the ICE House you’ll find 20 Xbox 360s set up to play one of three games: Madden ’09, Guitar Hero 3 and Forza 2. Each tournament costs $20 to enter and has a payout of $800 for first and $200 for second for a $3000 total purse - you better bring it!

Carlisle Performance & Style is home to one of the most diverse showfields you’ll find at any show. We know that custom compacts and VIP sedans all sprouted from the same market. And now that market is bring us donks, custom sport bikes and tricked out SUV’s with navigation and ICE second-to-none. The judging of showfield has a whole new approach for 2009…all outdoor showfield judging and awards will take place on Sunday. Cars will be parked in classes on Sunday and the judges will come to you. Judging is Sunday from 8AM to 1PM.

CLUB CARLISLE • Building T
We have once again turned Building T into a night club! We will have the lights down low, a DJ spinning tunes and a mix of hip-hop artists and models on stage. Escape the sun and enjoy the Top Flight cars and great atmosphere.

TOP FLIGHT / F4 CHALLENGE • Club Carlisle (Building T)
The Top Flight cars are the best of the best; these cars are at the pinnacle of their game and compete in a highly detailed regiment. That judging is taking a new face in 2009 – the F4 Challenge. The F4 Challenge is the new standard of custom compact judging. F4 has levels for all cars and we’re excited to have it at P&S. Take a walk through Building T to see the Mid-Atlantic’s top cars.

DYNO • See Map
Axcelerated Motorsports, the official dyno of Carlisle Events 2009, will be conducting testing for maximum horsepower and torque on their Dynojet model 248 chassis dyno. Testing will cover front and rear wheel drive cars and trucks, including diesels. Customers will receive two pulls to determine maximum horsepower and torque. The results are graphed and printed. Also included on all gas vehicles is wideband O2 monitoring to determine if the vehicle is running rich or lean. CLUB GAMES • See Map
New for 2009!! Because the 2008 club games were rained out, this year I’m putting out the personal challenge to all the clubs out there to put together a team to take on me and the Carlisle Staff. Gather your club members, friends or anyone that wants to play Saturday! We’ll have Volleyball and Tug-o-War happening near the stage at 3PM. Groups should sign up at the Guests Services booth near the stage.

DRIFT / AUTOCROSS • See Map
Drifting has taken the compact scene by storm; sliding and skidding what seemingly looks out of control, these drivers are in complete control. If you haven’t seen a live drift show, you will want to make your way over the north hill toward the Turnpike to watch this heart-pounding activity. Most drifting is done on a large open paved area or on a circle track, well here at the fairgrounds we will have these cars on our Autocross track; that will create some very tight and exciting skids. After the drifting takes place, you can see some fast-paced autocross racing take place as these cars try to make the quickest lap around the track. All of the track activities are in conjunction with NICOclub.com (Nissan Infiniti Car Owners). Check schedule for featured drifters’ performance times.

MISS CARLISLE BEAUTY CONTEST • Stage
Ladies, bring your bathing suits and participate in this time-honored tradition. Sign up at the Guests Service booth near the stage. First place receives $500; second $300; third $100. Saturday, 8PM, stage.

BURNOUT CONTEST • Grandstand
The burnout competition is a favorite activity at Carlisle. Competitors push their tires to the limit – and beyond! The more smoke, the better. Limited to 10 vehicles, pre-registration required at the Guests Services booth near the stage. Driver’s license and proof of insurance required. Saturday, 7PM, stage.
