I have gaps between my speakers and my speaker brackets, does anyone know what I can use to fill the gaps? When I installed my speakers a couple years ago I wanted my speakers to be flush with the interior panels, but in order to that I had to leave a gap, kinda stupid actually

you can't see it in the picture, i'm not worried about the gap around the speaker, I'm mean the speaker isn't flush with the speaker bracket beneath the interior panel. the speaker's raised up with shims so I could have them exposed like they are, but my bass sounds shitty-what a surprise huh? maybe the speakers are shitty

no offense but they are sony's. I bought a pair of X-plodes and they were terrible. Never again. Only Sony's that I have seen that are even close to worth anything are the Signature Series.

oh yeah i know, only reason I bought them is because I thought they'd match the car. I knew when I bought them they were crap. but still, it should be airtight behind and around the speaker to get good sound right? those rear speakers weren't even supposed to be 6x9's, they were 6 1/2's but I cut the bracket to fit

the talons and the eclipse's came with 6x9s or 6 1/2s they had different brackets but neither are sapposed to be flush with the plastic they sit behind the plastic and there is sapposed to be a piece of carpet there in an oval shape.

yeah it had all that, but not anymore, I didn't want the speakers to be behind plastic and cloth grill, I wanted to see them. but after I took the grill off the interior panel I realized that the speakers were too far behind the panel so I had to bring them forward, thus causing a gap behind the speaker
