I got a 1996 Grand Am that i just replaced the radiator in...and the car is in good shape body wise and everything... the problem i can't seem to figure out is why my car feels like it drives in neutral... i was driving down 11 monday afternoon from work and it was on cruise control and it just shut the cruise off and my speedometer stopped working and my gas gauge was going up and down and everytime i stepped on the gas the RPM's would go up but the car wouldn't accelerate... now my dad is a mechanic and all that but he doesn't think its an alternator problem... what would be causing this to happen????if anyone could help me out with this i would appreciate it...
