Questions on WRX's

I thinking about getting a wrx for a DD. Is there anything I need to watch out for or problem areas? Also are there any places where i can find a car without driving two states over and paying through the nose? Thanks!

umm the only problems i have seen with them and it could just be bad luck.. was tranny issues.. my friend went thru a few trannys at about 36k miles..

Were the problems with a Auto tranny or a stick?

his was a stick, earlier ones had some tranny problems. sincro in 3rd and 5th i think it was.

ya wrx's are known for bad trans in the earlier yrs. the sti trans hold up pretty well.
